Queensland Ballet Active Adults Workshop Series

Presented by Redland Performing Arts Centre
and Queensland Ballet

Step into the joy of dance with Queensland Ballet’s Active Adults Workshop Series – a welcoming, inclusive and uplifting experience designed especially for active adults and seniors of all abilities.

These gentle, music-filled workshops offer a unique opportunity to enjoy the beauty of ballet-inspired movement in a positive, supportive environment at Redland Performing Arts Centre. Whether seated or standing, Queensland Ballet Teaching Artists will guide participants through ballet-inspired movement exercises exploring coordination, balance, strength, and self-expression.

Each workshop will draw inspiration from Queensland Ballet’s celebrated Community and Dance Health programs, bringing together elements of seated and standing ballet, rhythm and movement for well-being. With an emphasis on musicality, creativity, and connection, these sessions support physical health, boost mood, and foster a wonderful sense of community.

No dance experience is required - just comfortable clothes, an open mind, and a love of music and movement. Come along and discover the power of dance to energise, uplift, and connect.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and perform. Long before we performed on this land, it played host to the dance expression of our First Peoples. We pay our respects to their Elders — past, present and emerging — and acknowledge the valuable contribution they have made and continue to make to the cultural landscape of this country.
