Fraser Coast Community Classes

Discover the joy of dance

Queensland Ballet’s Community, Education and Dance Health team are delighted to be partnering with The Brolga Theatre again in 2026 to move with the Fraser Coast Community.

These workshops are an initiative of the Brolga Theatre and Queensland Ballet and are supported by the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF). RADF is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Fraser Coast Regional Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.

This July, our team will be visiting the region to deliver: First 5 Forever Storyballet library sessions in Maryborough, Tiaro and Hervey Bay, as well as going out on the road to Poona with the Mobile Library. We’ll be moving with school students through In-School Workshops and Dance and Arts teachers at The Brolga theatre with a Teacher Professional Development session. We look forward to dancing with residents of Aged Care facilities in Maryborough and Hervey Bay and connecting with dancers of all ages and levels of mobility and experience through our Hervey Bay Community Class program, kindly supported by Sparks Dance Centre.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and perform. Long before we performed on this land, it played host to the dance expression of our First Peoples. We pay our respects to their Elders — past, present and emerging — and acknowledge the valuable contribution they have made and continue to make to the cultural landscape of this country.
