Aspire Dance Workshop: Pre-Professional Program Experience

#A unique training experience for young dancers to work with Queensland Ballet Academy’s Aspire '24 choreographers.

Experience a taste of Queensland Ballet Academy's Pre-Professional Program training and repertoire through the Aspire Dance Workshop.

Participants will enjoy taking ballet class with Pre-Professional Program Coordinators followed by sessions learning repertoire from the Aspire '24 season.

The repertoire will include excerpts from The Nutcracker as versioned by renowned choreographer Ben Stevenson OBE, as well as new works choreographed by Queensland Ballet Academy’s Resident Choreographers Paul Boyd (Academy Ballet Master) and Louise Deleur (Head of Contemporary Dance).

Program participants have the option to select in the registration form whether they are interested and happy to be approached about further training opportunities with Queensland Ballet Academy. Please ensure you speak with your main dance teacher prior to registering for the program and we encourage you to be transparent with them if you select these options in the form. Please note only select participants will be contacted about further training opportunities following the event.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and perform. Long before we performed on this land, it played host to the dance expression of our First Peoples. We pay our respects to their Elders — past, present and emerging — and acknowledge the valuable contribution they have made and continue to make to the cultural landscape of this country.
