Discover the joy of dance

Queensland Ballet’s Community, Education and Dance Health team are delighted to be partnering with the Central Highlands Regional Council again in 2026.

These workshops are an initiative of the Central Highlands Regional Council and Queensland Ballet and are supported by the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF). This November, our team will be visiting Emerald, the Gemfields, Blackwater, Capella and Tieri to deliver: First 5 Forever Story ballet library sessions in Emerald, Blackwater and Tieri. We’ll be moving with school students through In-School Workshops and other members of the community in Dance for Seniors and Ballet Serene sessions. We look forward to meeting dancers of all ages and levels of mobility and experience through our Emerald Community Class program. Community Classes will be held in Emerald on Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 of November. Please find the community class schedule below.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and perform. Long before we performed on this land, it played host to the dance expression of our First Peoples. We pay our respects to their Elders — past, present and emerging — and acknowledge the valuable contribution they have made and continue to make to the cultural landscape of this country.
