Queensland Ballet Day

This year, as we raise the curtain on our 2027 Season, we will also be raising the barre of our annual Giving Day.

Tuesday 6 October is our Queensland Ballet Day.

Yes, on Tuesday 6 October, we commit to reveal what inspiring productions we have planned for you in 2027, driven by Ivan’s dynamic artistic leadership.

Yes, on Tuesday 6 October, we – your dancers - will stand side by side with the mighty Queensland Ballet team and our wider supporter community to raise meaningful support through our Giving Day.

We acknowledge that every time you buy a ticket, enrol your young dancer in our Academy programs, participate in our Community offerings throughout Queensland, buy a coffee at Thomas Dixon Centre, you’re standing side by side with us, in the studios, on the stage and in our community.

For 12 hours from 9am to 9pm, every donation will be quadrupled thanks to the support of our visionary match donors. $10 becomes $40, $100 becomes $400, $1,000 becomes $4,000, $10,000 becomes $40,000. For the first time this year, a portion of every season ticket package purchased on Giving Day will be matched too. Proceeds from our Queensland Ballet Costume Sale to be held at Thomas Dixon Centre on the same day will also contribute towards our grand total.

This year, Season Launch and Giving Day come together for the love of ballet. Stand side by side with us on 6 October 2026.
