#Why should you get involved?

Becoming a QB Education Teaching Artist enables dancers to stay connected to their art form and continue to creatively contribute to the greater dance sector and social impact of the arts in communities across Queensland.

The QB Teacher Training Model is designed to support the transition from a professional dancer to a Teaching Artist and provides opportunities to build confidence and gain specialised skills for teaching in various capacities. Many of our programs also involve travel to remote communities across Queensland to work with local schools, dance studios and community groups.

Our Education Teaching Artists are employed on a flexible casual contract, which enables them to work on different projects throughout the year, whilst still managing their own personal or professional commitments.

If you are interested in applying to become an Education Teaching Artist with Queensland Ballet, please email your resume to QB Education Manager at education@queenslandballet.com.au or call on 3013 6666.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and perform. Long before we performed on this land, it played host to the dance expression of our First Peoples. We pay our respects to their Elders — past, present and emerging — and acknowledge the valuable contribution they have made and continue to make to the cultural landscape of this country.
