William Cheung

Born in Adelaide, Australia. William, at 6 years of age, began dancing at the Turning Point School of Dance. He started dance as a hobby doing many genres but especially fell in love with classical ballet. When William was in his final years of schooling he wanted to further strengthen his classical technique so he moved to Brisbane to train at the Queensland Ballet Academy. William would then continue his training and be accepted into the academy’s Pre-Professional Program for an additional two years and during that time he has been seen in many of the company’s performances including; La Sylphide, Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet and Carbon fields but most notably his time as ‘Robin’ from ‘The Little Green Road to Fairyland’ Choreographed by Paul Boyd, which toured all of regional Queensland and sold-out performances at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre. William is currently involved with the next generation of Education Teaching Artist’s for Queensland Ballet, transitioning into 2021.
