​Matthew Allan

Matthew Allan is a lighting designer and production specialist with nearly 20 years’ experience creating lighting for theatre, dance, and live performance in Australia and internationally. His work includes lighting design, associate design, and relight design for major productions and touring shows, including The Illusionists international tours and Opera Australia’s West Side Story. Matthew is currently the Technical Manager of Lighting and AV at Queensland Ballet, where he leads lighting delivery for productions and tours and supports creative and technical teams in bringing visual storytelling to life. He is passionate about shaping performance through light while ensuring productions are delivered safely, efficiently, and collaboratively.
