Tabitha Buttsworth

Academy Teacher

Tabitha began her dance training at the age of 4 at the Toowoomba School of Dance. She completed all RAD levels in her time there, receiving a distinction for Advanced 2 and Grade 8, and studied various different dance styles alongside. 

In 2013, Tabitha was accepted into Level 3 of the Australian Ballet Interstate Training Program, and in 2015 she joined the Queensland Ballet Academy and completed three years in the program, graduating in 2017. Since then, she has also completed Senior Level in the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet syllabus, and has completed her Advanced Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance). 

She has also completed the teacher training program in the Australian Ballet Conservatoire syllabus, and is an Education Teaching Artist with Queensland Ballet. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics with honours at Queensland University of Technology. 

Tabitha teaches dancers in Queensland Ballet Academy's Foundation Program.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and perform. Long before we performed on this land, it played host to the dance expression of our First Peoples. We pay our respects to their Elders — past, present and emerging — and acknowledge the valuable contribution they have made and continue to make to the cultural landscape of this country.
