After graduating from The Australian Ballet School, Tim danced internationally as a soloist including in works by Ashton, Hynd, Balanchine, Bournonville, Cranko, Taylor, Weir, and Caniparoli.
He has since created award-winning choreography for film, television and stage, including a project which won the ‘Best Foreign Film’ at the Queens International Film Festival in New York.
In 2013 Tim choreographed and directed the film Ador, featuring dancers from across the globe, including Singapore Dance Theatre, Hong Kong Ballet, Australian Dance Theatre, Atlanta Ballet, and English National Ballet. He also created works which premièred in South Africa and Europe.
Tim is a founding member of the Dis/assemble Project, encompassing able and disabled dancers, utilizing multi-media collaborations. Dis/assemble’s work has been documented for broadcast nationally. In recognition of his achievements in inclusive dance, Tim was one of ten artists selected to feature in the book Seeded, acknowledging arts initiatives in Australia.
In 2014, Tim will choreograph a new work for Queensland Ballet’s Dance Dialogues - Summer season; Of Mice and Men, with Ausdance Victoria’s Director Andy Howitt, (opening the Dance Live Festival in Aberdeen, Scotland); Romeo & Juliet for his own company, PROJECTion Dance (which will tour The Netherlands) and the worldwide release of Ador.
