Season 2021

#Every step a story

You can switch off the lights, but you can never extinguish the flame. 2021 marks a triumphant return to the stage and a vibrant year of dance for Queensland Ballet. Dancers return with vitality, celebrating the joy of live performance.

Queensland Ballet bursts back to life with enchanting, dark and unexpected tales. The 2021 calendar is full, enlivened with every aspect of performance audiences love: compelling musical scores; elaborate stage design; inspired costumes.

Share the celebration as the year begins with the 60th Anniversary Gala. Join the magic of the enchanted fairytale, The Sleeping Beauty and travel through time with Stoker’s hypnotising gothic tale, Dracula.

Tutus on Tour leaps back onto the regional stage with a lively program designed for smaller stages. Delight the littlest members of the family with the orchestral performance of Peter the Wolf.

Lovers of contemporary dance will be thrilled by the return of Bespoke, featuring creative staging, innovative costuming and new sound, lighting and multimedia installations.

Glimpse the future; share the vision as Queensland Ballet Academy dancers showcase their talent at a sophisticated evening, Summer Soirée.

Season tickets on sale 9am 8 December, 2020. Single tickets on sale in 2021, release dates to be announced.
