QB's Commitment to Educators

To support school teachers, QB will be delivering a series of inspiring Professional Development (PD) workshops. Underpinned by current research, workshop sessions will be tailored for early years, primary and secondary educators and will include a masterclass and Q&A with a QB Guest Artist.

What to expect?

Each session will be tailored to cover the topic and educators will be separated into early years/primary and secondary specialty for workshops.

Each Teacher PD day will include the following:
1. Masterclass with a guest artist
2. Q&A with a guest artist(s)
3. A complimentary morning tea
4. Workshop session(s) exploring the topic

What is a Masterclass?

Explore ballet technique and artistrry with a QB artistic staff member or company artist.

Masterclasses are delivered by a QB artistic staff member or company artist with a wealth of knowledge and experience to share whilst leading the you through a traditional ballet class. QB Masterclasses are designed to be fun, challenging and inspirational, providing teachers with an insight into a professional ballet company.

Teacher PD In-Schools

QB Education Teaching Artists are now available to visit your school to help bring dance into the classroom.*

In alignment with the curriculum, this two hour workshop upskills teachers to feel comfortable and confident in embedding dance in their teaching practice. This can be arranged exclusively for your school, or for schools in your area and content can be tailored to your teacher's needs and experience levels.
*Please note that this is only available for primary school teachers.

#Teacher Development Certification

Teachers are invited to participate in any of our experiences and can view them as providing genuine opportunities to learn new skills, knowledge and understandings in order to enhance student learning outcomes. Therefore, hours spent participating in our programs can be counted towards their Continuing Professional Development.
