Discover a unique program of experiences and events during each Queensland Ballet season. Take a class on the main stage, enjoy enjoy a special pre-performance workshop or take a look behind the scenes.

Queensland Ballet's Beyond the Stage programs are for all ages from 2-102, and include a terrific range of inspiring, insightful and unique ballet experiences that will leave participants feeling elated and enriched.

For active adults aged 18 - 40

9.00am - 12.15pm (times subject to change).

Cost: $75

Take centre stage and experience the limelight as you take ballet class and learn repertoire from Queensland Ballet's, Dracula.

This experience features a Q&A with a member from QB’s Artistic or Production team, light refreshments and complimentary access to view the company take their daily ballet class on stage.

Peter and The Wolf Pre-Performance Workshops

Join QB Teaching Artists for a 30 minute pre-performance workshop that explores characters, storytelling and ballet moves from the production.

Recommended for ages 2 - 8, create last memories with these 30 minute workshops prior to each performance. bookings essential.

Centre Stage for Seniors

Centre Stage for Seniors


Take centre stage and experience our signature ballet for seniors class and learn choreography from the production on stage led by QB Teaching Artists.

This experience features a Q&A with a member from QB’s Artistic or Production team, light refreshments and access to view Queensland Ballet Company Dancers take their daily ballet class.

Active Adults with a foundational understanding of dance are invited to join QB Teaching Artists for a choreographic workshop focusing on movement inspired by the production.

This experience includes a light morning tea and the opportunity to watch Queensland Ballet dancers take their company class on-stage.
