#Playhouse QPAC

Arrival and Check-in

The main entrance to The Playhouse is located on Russel Street, South Bank. It is recommended you arrive at least 30 minutes before the performance starts to allow time for check-in and seating.

Latecomer Policy

Please note that there is a strict lock-out period for latecomers to all Queensland Ballet performances.

Complimentary printed programs will be distributed at the theatre with information about the performance.

What to wear

Smart casual dress is perfect. You may want to bring a light wrap or jacket, as the theatres are air conditioned.

During the Performance

Please relax and enjoy the performance! Our dancers love to hear you respond and applaud as it lets them know you appreciate their artistry and are enjoying the production.

Please remember to turn off all mobile phones and electronic devices before the performance begins. Please note photography and filming is not permitted during the performance.

#COVID-Safe Information

For the safety of all patrons, please do not attend if you are feeling unwell and have any symptoms of COVID.

Check-in is required upon arrival to the theatre to confirm the contact details of your party at the Playhouse entrance.

Check in and you’re good to go!

We’re using the new Check In Qld app to help keep you COVID safe the next time you visit.

  • Visit this link to download the app from Google Play or Apple App stores
  • Enter your details once when you first open the app
  • Open the app when you next visit us
  • Select ‘Check in Now’ and scan or enter our code

Using this digital check in means your details will be stored securely by the Queensland Government for 56 days to assist with COVID-19 contact tracing (if needed).

The Check In Qld app is safe, secure and private. By using it, you are helping QPAC to stay open, and you can visit us with confidence, knowing you can be contacted quickly and easily if there is any risk of exposure to the virus.

Face masks can be a useful measure to help control sustained community transmission of COVID-19. Monitor Queensland Health's directions about face masks, as this will continue to change in response to community transmission in localised areas.

The best way to protect yourself and others from COVID-19 is to stay home if you are sick, and thoroughly wash your hands often.

When wearing a face mask, it is recommended you avoid touching it with your hands.

Please remain seated after the performance and show your appreciation to the performers non-verbally i.e. by applause or stamping your feet.

Observe physical distancing and follow signage and staff directions regarding entry and exit procedures.
