Schools and Studios

We love to connect people of all ages with ballet. Queensland Ballet is dedicated to providing an education and engagement program that is underpinned by artistic excellence, authenticity, accessibility and creativity, delivering highly enjoyable and enriching activities for all students.

To encourage students to experience a live performance, school and studio groups are offered reduced ticket prices (*$25 per student, 1 teacher free per 10 students).

The focus of Queensland Ballet’s educational experiences is to complement and enhance the teaching and learning currently taking place in classrooms around the world.

By providing a year-long calendar of events and specially crafted resources that give an insight into the magic, school students will learn, grow and have fun. Our array of experiences and opportunities include TDC Immersion Experiences, High School Work Experience placements and the Ambassador Program for Practicing Teachers.

Created especially for students in private dance studios the Adopt-a-Dancer program provides a very special opportunity to develop a unique connection with one of the dancers from the Company.

Through the Adopt-a-Dancer program, studios and their students enjoy the benefits of attending workshops, Q&A’s and coaching sessions, while our dancers thoroughly enjoy watching, hearing from and coaching the next generation of performers.

The 2016 Adopt-a-Dancer program is available to studios from the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast and as far west as Stanthorpe.
