Guide to joining an online dance class

Once you have signed-up, booked, and paid for your class, follow our simple instructions below and you can Dance Anywhere in no time!

NOTE: Our live streaming service is brand new and not fully compatible with all devices and internet browsers just yet, that's why we recommend using a desktop or laptop computer and opening the class link through the Google Chrome browser.

Link to your online class

Once you have booked an online class you will receive a link via email.

If you can’t find the email, please check your Junk and Spam folders.

Open the email and click on the ‘Click here to join’ button when you’re ready to join the class.

Logging in

You will then be prompted to enter the username and password for your Queensland Ballet dance classes account.

Arriving at the class

Once you have entered your details, you should then see a confirmation ‘You're in the right place’.

Joining the class

When the teachers activates the class, you should then see yourself on the screen with a button to join.

No one can see or hear you until you click 'Join live stream'.

Camera and audio controls

A pop-up box should then prompt you to allow use of your microphone and video. Select 'Allow'.

If you aren't prompted with a pop-up box, please refer to the table at the bottom of the page for more information.

Start of the class

You should then be able to see the teacher in the main window.

Muting yourself and turning off the camera

Use the controls to the top left of the main window - you should see a microphone icon, a volume icon and a camera icon. Click the icons to activate or deactivate, not the arrows next to them.

If you are having trouble seeing these controls, you may be using an incompatible device or browser. Please refer to the table at the bottom of the page for more information.

Leaving the class

When you are ready to leave the class, click the ‘Leave live stream’ button at the top right corner of the main window. Once you've left you'll see this message.
