2020 Season ticket updates


I have a 2020 Season Ticket Package will my Season Tickets be valid for the 2021 Season?

Yes. Our valued Season Ticket Holders will have all tickets transferred as a priority into next year’s season and your tickets and benefits will remain the same. We are currently still working through the large volume of exchanges and are working towards confirming all new ticket details with ticket holders before the 2021 Season Launch in December. Of course you will be given some time to exchange into different dates if required. 

As a Season Ticket Holder we appreciate your continued support and patience during this challenging year and we are looking forward to celebrating with you in 2021. 

What do I need to do to transfer my tickets?

  • Nothing, we are currently working hard to complete all ticket transfers 

  • Tickets purchased for 2020 performances will be automatically exchanged into new dates in 2021 – there is no need to take any action 

  • Performance dates and venues in 2021 have been finalised, and all ticket holders will be advised of their new ticket details before we launch the 2021 Season in December.

  • Dracula: Thank you to those who have already requested for their Dracula ticket value to be held as credit on your account these are being processed at this time. No further action is required.   

I don’t wish to be transferred into 2021, I would like a refund. How do I get a refund?

If you purchased tickets via QTIX or QPAC you may request a refund at any time by emailing refunds@qtix.com.au, please include your name and booking reference number. Please allow several weeks for your request to be processed. 

How do I know my tickets have been moved to 2021?

We had hoped to be able to provide all ticket holders with their new ticket details at this time. Unfortunately it has taken longer than we had anticipated to confirm new season dates for 2021 and to secure new venues for some productions. We are continuing to work through the large numbers of tickets that are being transferred and plan on providing all new ticket details before the 2021 Season Launch on 8 December.

When will I receive my new tickets for 2021?

We will provide details via email, or post your new ticket details for 2021 in the coming months. Due to the new physical distancing rules NO tickets will be posted or emailed this year, this also allows for ticket holders to make exchanges if the new dates/times they have been moved into are not suitable. The first production in 2021 will be in March and your tickets will be provided to you in February. 

When will you announce the new dates for 2021? 

Current ticket holders are now in the process of being seated and will be advised of their new ticket dates/time/venue in the coming months. A full 2021 season announcement and launch is planned for 8 December 2020. 

What if the 2021 dates or seats don’t suit me?

After you receive your new ticket details, you will have a period of time where you may exchange or request a refund without any fees.  

What if things change with coronavirus? 

Queensland Ballet’s Pandemic Response Team has established a framework for a safe step-by-step return of ballet activities. 

The document, entitled Queensland Ballet’s Return to Magic Framework outlines sensible and gradual steps to resume activities ranging from work, to Company class, to educational activities, to repertoire creation and rehearsals, and ultimately performance. 

Decisions regarding the timing of resumption of activity will continue to be made in consultation with Federal and Queensland Government advice.

Can I get a refund for any show in 2020? 

Absolutely. All refund requests will be processed.

Why did Queensland Ballet make the decision to move the 2020 Season to 2021?

Based on social distancing restrictions and extensive economic modelling, we made the decision to move our full 2020 Season to 2021. Unfortunately with exception of our Synergy season.
