Queensland Ballet’s Education Teaching Artists will be on the road across regional Queensland and Northern Territory in June and July 2020 delivering workshops in school and community settings. Young dancers aged 2 – 17 years, school and studio teachers and seniors and are invited to join us for a range of inclusive workshops to explore the wonderful world of ballet.

Safe, educative and inclusive dance experiences for students in kindergartens and schools. These workshops link to the Early Years Learning Framework, Australian Curriculum and Senior Dance Syllabus, complementing the teaching and learning currently taking place in Queensland classrooms.

Petit Pointers

Designed to stimulate the imagination, musicality and natural movement in children aged 2 – 5 years. All participants will have a joyous experience with an important carer in their life.

Community ballet classes

Community ballet classes

For dancers 6 – 17 years of age, these community classes give participants a taste of all the fun Queensland Ballet has to offer. This is an inclusive experience focusing on exploring ballet technique.

Ballet for Adults

Ballet for Adults

This gentle class is especially tailored for Adults, with a focus on improving poise, core strength, memory and mobility.


#Professional Development & Advanced Classes

Masterclasses

Masterclasses

Designed for ballet students aged 12-17 years, these classes are led by QB Company Artists and Artistic Staff to provide insight into the professional industry. In an up-close-and-personal setting, participants will learn and practice the knowledge and skills required to excel in this beautiful art form.

Teacher Professional Development

Teacher Professional Development

Professional Development workshops will be offered to regional teachers in 2020. Aimed at school and early years educators, this workshop offers tools to engage students of all abilities in learning through dance, with outcomes linked to the Australian Curriculum and Early Years Learning Framework.
