#Frequently asked questions

1. Are classes still running? 

The Academy's Associate Program, Senior Program and Pre-Professional Program have now returned to face-to-face training. 


2. Can I watch or wait for my child’s class to finish in the Academy building? 

No, we are respectfully asking all parents to drop off and pick up their children from outside our building’s reception entrance. We appreciate your cooperation on this matter.  

 

3. I have paid to attend an event that has been cancelled. Will I be refunded? 

Yes, all registrants to cancelled events hosted by Queensland Ballet will be refunded. You do not need to contact us for this, we will process your refund within 30 days. If you have not received a refund by then, please contact us.  

 

4. I have paid to attend an event that has been postponed. Will I be refunded? 

If your registration is from Queensland Ballet Academy, you will be contacted soon with a new date for the event you have registered for. Your registration will automatically transfer to this new date. However, if you are unable to attend the new date please contact us and we will arrange a refund.

For events that are ticketed externally, please read their ticket terms and conditions, and reach out to them if you have any questions.

 

5. Am I allowed inside Queensland Ballet’s buildings? 

All visitors to the Academy will have a mandatory temperature check and are expected to sanitise their hands before entering our buildings. We respectfully request you do not enter our buildings if you: 

  • Feel unwell or are suffering from any cold and flu symptoms  

  • Have returned from travelling overseas in the past 14 days 

  • Are waiting through a period of self-isolation  

  • Are awaiting results from COVID-19 testing 

  • Have been in direct contact with someone who has tested positive to COVID-19 

 

6. What happens if my child is unwell? 

If your child presents with a temperature, or falls ill during the day, you will be notified and requested to collect them immediately.

If your child has fallen ill at home, seek medical advice and email to inform us that your child will not be attending class via academyabsence@queenslandballet.com.au


7. How do I find out more?

The Academy team will keep you updated and this web page will also be updated regularly. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns at academy@queenslandballet.com.au
