Queensland Ballet Academy, Kelvin Grove

Aspire '21

#Every step an emerging story

About the show

Queensland Ballet Academy's Aspire '21 will showcase the talents of our Pre-Professional Program dancers in an intimate studio theatre setting. Be captivated as they perform classical and neo-classical works at the home of the Academy in Kelvin Grove.

Matador Suite

Inspired by scenes from the ballet Don Quixote, originally choreographed by Marius Petipa in 1869, Matador Suite has plenty of character and charm. Although largely based on a production Tàtchev created for the South African Ballet Theatre in 2006, this presentation contains a number of excerpts choreographed especially for our Pre-Professional Program dancers.

Choreographer: Christian Tàtchev

Intimate Dialogues

We all crave dialogues of intimacy, whether through friendship, mateship, or love. Sometimes, silence is the most intimate of all dialogues.

Choreographer: Paul Boyd
