Guest Academy Program

Levels 6 - 4 / Years 7 - 9

The Guest Academy Program provides a unique, world-class training opportunity for elite students based outside the Brisbane metropolitan area. These areas may include the wider South East Queensland area, intrastate / interstate or international locations.

Guest Academy Program

Students in Years 7 – 9 at school are welcome to apply for this program during our annual audition season. Selected students will follow the same curriculum as our Academy Program Levels 6 - 4, during a 5-day visit each term of the Queensland state school year.

Dancers in this program enjoy professional training in the subjects outlined below, with Queensland Ballet Academy's world-class Faculty. A well-being session is also offered to promote a holistic approach to the development of the young dancers in the Program.

Each visit also offers the opportunity to observe our full-time dancers in classes, and where possible, with access to Queensland Ballet company. Guest Academy Program students receive special discounted rates to Queensland Ballet Academy's holiday programs and other events.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and perform. Long before we performed on this land, it played host to the dance expression of our First Peoples. We pay our respects to their Elders — past, present and emerging — and acknowledge the valuable contribution they have made and continue to make to the cultural landscape of this country.
