Foundation Program Auditions

Our Foundation Program is open to students from across the Brisbane metropolitan area and delivered at our world-class facilities based at Kelvin Grove State College. Acceptance into the program is through an audition, or by invitation.

Foundation Program Auditions

#Audition Process

Entry into the Foundation Program is based on the outcome of a specially designed audition process to identify suitability for commencing a professional ballet training pathway. The audition structure allows students to experience an audition for the first time, and become more familiar with the process before auditioning for future programs.

Participation at a Foundation Program audition involves:

  • An after school visit to Queensland Ballet Academy to participate in a group session where children will be guided through easy-to-follow activities, examples of which are provided in the video.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and perform. Long before we performed on this land, it played host to the dance expression of our First Peoples. We pay our respects to their Elders — past, present and emerging — and acknowledge the valuable contribution they have made and continue to make to the cultural landscape of this country.
