Under the direction of Contemporary Dance Coordinator and Resident Choreographer, Louise Deleur, a renowned figure head in the Australian contemporary dance industry, this course is an additional pathway available within the Academy Program at Level 1. It is suited to students entering Year 11 or 12, who are seeking a career in professional companies whose repertoire incorporates contemporary, modern or neo-classical genres.
Graduates of this unique course will be primed to progress to further training as strong, classically trained pre-professional dancers with highly developed skills attained through a focused development of a range of contemporary dance techniques and specialised skills including partnering, improvisation and choreography.

*Course eligibility:
Students entering Year 11 or 12.
Enrolment may be conditional on academic credits and ability to complete the QCE.
Post-School students - Must be entering their first year out of the Australian school system (Year 13) and must meet the enrolment criteria of KGSC.
Students may be required to complete 2 years of the course before receiving a QB Academy Pre-Professional Certificate upon completion of the program.
Each students circumstances will be considered on an individual basis.
