During this unprecedented period, our world-class faculty are focusing on Queensland Ballet Academy’s true purpose, using the principal philosophies of integrity, empathy, work ethic, creativity and vision as significant driving forces behind our efforts to keep our young dancers connected, inspired and determined to succeed.
Training has temporarily transitioned to an online mode of delivery with students participating in daily classes as well as undertaking additional studies including safe dance practice, music education, career preparation and more.
In early March, Queensland Ballet Academy’s brand-new facilities at Kelvin Grove were officially opened by Minister for Education and Minister for Industrial Relations, the Honourable Grace Grace MP, with the Governor of Queensland, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey addressing guests.

In 2020, 122 aspiring young dancers are enrolled in Queensland Ballet Academy’s professional ballet training programs and they have come to us from all around Australia, as well as from international origins. Additionally, we provide supplementary training to 61 Guest Associate students who visit our home at Kelvin Grove four times per year from interstate and regional areas outside of Brisbane.
