Be immersed in the magical world of Queensland Ballet, with exclusive access to pre and post performance events. Gather a group together and make a night of it. Choose from either a:

These experiences are available to those who have purchased tickets to Dracula or The Nutcracker 2021 season, and groups of up to 15 people. Please note that these experiences and costs are on top of your ticket purchase. Don't have tickets yet? #Private Dracula Function

For groups from 8 up to 15 people

Enjoy exciting private functions before your selected Dracula performance, during interval, and post-performance. Throughout your experience, you will have your very own space in a special area of QPAC where you will be served drinks underneath the magical QPAC Christmas Tree.

Once you have witnessed the beauty of ballet on stage, you will have an exclusive meet and greet with two of Queensland Ballet’s Company Artists who can answer all your questions on bringing the ballet to life.  

Right now, current ticket holders have access to an Early Bird price of $80 per person for this exclusive experience. Spaces are limited. Please contact Queensland Ballet to book your space now before it runs out!

This experience includes:

  • A QB staff member dedicated to your group to help guide you throughout the evening 

  • Private function space for group of 8-12 or 8-15 people 

  • Three occasions surrounding performance for private function space (pre-performance, interval, and post-performance) 

  • Drinks served by QPAC staff, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (pre-performance and interval) 

  • Exclusive meet and greet opportunity with 2 x Queensland Ballet dancers (post-performance) 

Timings:

  • Greet your Queensland Ballet guide at 6.40pm (Box Office, Lyric Theatre).

  • Pre-performance, 6.45pm – 7.15pm. Drinks served in Upper Minstrel Gallery OR Lyric Mezzanine. 

  • Interval, 8.30pm – 8.50pm (approx.). Drinks served in Upper Minstrel Gallery OR Lyric Mezzanine. 

  • Post-performance, 10pm – 10.15pm (approx.). Meet and Greet with 2 x QB Dancers, held at Upper Minstrel Gallery OR Lyric Mezzanine.

Available on the following Dracula performance dates

  • Wednesday 24th November, 7.30pm performance  

  • Thursday 25th November, 7.30pm performance  

  • Friday 3rd December, 7.30pm performance

The details

Location:  Meet at Box Office of Lyric Theatre at 6.40pm. Your personal Queensland Ballet guide will be waiting to greet you. 

Costs:  Early Bird Discount, $80pp 

Group size:  8 – 15 people 

T&Cs:  Tickets are non-refundable. Tickets can be transferred to another date and performance dependent on availability.  

Accessibility:  This experience is wheelchair accessible. Please advise Queensland Ballet ahead of time.

#Dracula and The Nutcracker Backstage Tours

For groups of up to 12 people

Before experiencing the beauty of ballet on stage, go behind the scenes with a pre-performance backstage tour at QPAC!

In this exclusive behind-the-scenes experience, you will witness the magic of Queensland Ballet come alive as we prepare for a show. See the wardrobe department in action, the costumes up close, the inner workings of the production team and feel the excitement and nervous energy behind the curtain of QPAC. Right now, current ticket holders have access to an Early Bird price of $100 per person for this exclusive experience. Spaces are limited. Please contact Queensland Ballet to book your space now before it runs out!

Tours are hosted by a QB Production team member, start 1 hour prior to performances and runs for approximately 30 minutes.

Timings:

  • Meet at Stage Door in the QPAC tunnel 1 hour 15 minutes prior to each performance 
  • Tours run for approximately 30 minutes 
  • 6.15pm arrival for a 7.30pm performance 
  • 12.15pm arrival for a 1.30pm performance

The Nutcracker Season

  • Tuesday 21st December, 1.30pm performance

Location: Stage Door, QPAC Tunnel 

Costs: Early Bird Discount, $100pp 

Group size: 1 – 12 people 

T&Cs: Tickets are non-refundable. Tickets can be transferred to another date and performance dependent on availability. No children under the age of 12. No stilettos are to be worn on this tour at the safety of our Harlequin Floors that our dancers perform on. 

Accessibility: This tour can be adapted to be wheelchair accessible. Please advise Queensland Ballet ahead of time.
