Our internships are a fantastic way for undergraduate students to gain skills and experience in their chosen field before they graduate.
We are proud to be an Industry Partner for Queensland University of Technology’s (QUT) Work Integrated Learning Program. As part of this partnership, we will be offering up to 14 internship opportunities throughout 2013 to QUT students enrolled in the program. The internships are available in our Marketing, Development, Education, Production and Wardrobe departments. More information about each internship can be found through the QUT intranet. Applications for the Internships must be submitted to the relevant QUT Work Integrated Learning Officer. Upon receipt of all applications, QUT will work with our team to best determine each student placement.
Students who study the Fine Arts (Technical Production) course at QUT may also secure internships with our Production department through the faculty’s secondment program.
If you are a student studying at another tertiary institution, we are happy to accept your application of interest for internship opportunities with the Company. Should any internships not be filled through the QUT Work Integrated Learning Program, we may be able to offer these positions to other students. If you are interested in applying, please our email Education Manager Erin White with your resume (including academic history), a cover letter explaining your interest in working with Queensland Ballet, and what type of experience you are seeking. We will keep your application on file for six months and contact you should anything suitable become available.
Work Experience in our Wardrobe department
Our Wardrobe department works throughout the year to create and maintain the beautiful costumes which our dancers wear on stage. With so much to do, they often have the ability to offer work experience to students, designers and seamstresses to work in Wardrobe leading up to performances. If you are interested in gaining experience in our Wardrobe department, whether as part of, or beyond your accredited studies, please email your resume and a cover letter explaining your interest in working in Wardrobe to our Education Manager Erin White. We will keep your application on file for six months and contact you should anything suitable become available.
