Rian Thompson

Rian Thompson was born in Mackay where he began his initial ballet training with Lynette Denny at Theatre Arts Mackay. He earned a distinction in Music Theatre and a distinction in grade 8 Piano. Rian joined the Queensland Ballet Professional Year program in 2009 and was promoted to Trainee Dancer in 2011. He joined the Company on the regional Northern Tour in 2010 and The Little Mermaid China tour in 2011. Rian was recently promoted to Company Dancer, effective 1 January 2012.
