Hao Bin

Hao Bin started classical ballet training in 1995 at the Beijing Dance Academy. After graduation in 2002, he joined the National Ballet of China.

In 2004, Bin received a Jury Special Award at the 3rd Shanghai International Ballet Competition. In 2007, Bin was invited by the Stuttgart Ballet to perform at a ceremonial gala at John Cranko’s Dance Festival Celebration; this was the first time a Chinese dancer was invited to perform in Stuttgart, Germany.

Bin has toured with the National Ballet of China to many countries, including Britain, France, Italy, the USA, Hong Kong and Macao. He toured with the National Ballet of China to the UK, and performed the principal role in Swan Lake at the Royal Opera House in July 2008. In January 2009, National Ballet of China premiered Sylvia at the Paris Opera, where Hao Bin performed the principal role. That same year, he was invited by the 17th International Ballet Gala at Budapest to perform the pas de deux from The Sleeping Beauty. In February 2010, he was invited to the German Dance Awards in Essen. In the same year, he was invited as a guest to perform at the Nijinsky Gala in Hamburg. In May 2011 Bin was nominated as 'Best Male Dancer of the Year' award in the Prix Benois de La Danse in Moscow. And in June of this year, Bin was invited as a guest artist to perform Etudes by Santiago Ballet in Chile.

Hao Bin joined Queensland Ballet in July 2011 as a Soloist, and was promoted to Principal in November 2011.
