Teri Crilly
Teri studied ballet and dance in Western Australia, winning many awards and scholarships, including The Iluka Solo Ballet Scholarship when she was 15, which gave her the opportunity to spend some time with the West Australian Ballet Company. In 2006, Teri completed the National Theatre Ballet School’s Advanced Diploma of Arts (Classical) course, in which she won the Kathleen Gorham Perpetual Award for the Most Outstanding Student. She then spent a year performing at Tokyo Disney Resort in Japan before accepting a three month contract with the Australian Ballet’s Out There School Program.
Teri performed in Queensland Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker in 2007, and then entered the Company’s Professional Year program in January 2008.
In August 2008, Teri was offered and accepted a contract as a trainee dancer with the Company, becoming a full Company member in January 2009. That year, she performed in all of the Company's productions including The Sleeping Beauty, where she danced the Bluebird pas de deux to critical acclaim. Teri also performed in Louise Deleur's Morning Star in Soirees Classiques No. 2 and Vis-a-vis Studio Series 3. In 2009, she toured to Denmark, Switzerland and Germany as part of the Company's European tour, and in 2011 to China with The Little Mermaid.
