Tamara Zurvas

Tamara began her dance training at the age of four at the Rockhampton Academy of Dance and went on to attend the Queensland Dance School of Excellence. She was accepted into Queensland Ballet’s Professional Year in 2005, where she received the Charles Lisner Memorial Scholarship and the Patricia McDonald Memorial Foundation Scholarship.  Tamara became a Trainee Dancer with the Company in 2006 and in 2008 she accepted a contract as a full-time member of the Company.

The more recent roles that Tamara has enjoyed performing include dancing the role as a gypsy in Klaus's Carmen, and the Leading Swan in Swan Lake. Tamara has particularly enjoyed touring to Europe and Japan with the Company; she also enjoys going home to perform in Rockhampton.
