Eleanor Freeman
Eleanor was born in Clayton, Melbourne and began her training at the Mildura Ballet and Dance Guild in 1996. She moved to Melbourne to continue her studies full-time at the Victorian College of the Arts. After graduation, she was accepted into the Queensland Ballet Professional Year program where she received the George Hartnett Award. Eleanor was asked to join the Queensland Ballet as a trainee at the start of 2011. Eleanor appreciates the intensity and technical demand of Swan Lake and the precision, clarity and unique movement style of Nils Christe’s Purcell Pieces. Eleanor was recently promoted to Company Dancer, effective 1 January 2012.
