Head of Wardrobe & Resident Designer
As Queensland Ballet’s Head of Wardrobe and Resident Designer, Noelene Hill has designed costumes for all International Galas since 2003; François Klaus’s Fonteyn Remembered, A Streetcar Named Desire, Swan Lake, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Carmen, Romeo & Juliet, The Nutcracker, A Thousand and One Nights, Cloudland, The Amazing Magician goes Troppo, Peer Gynt, Misa Tango, Beyond the Barre and Timeless Dance ; Natalie Weir’s The Unwritten, When Angels Weep, and The Gathering; Timothy Brown’s One Forgetting, Two Remember, and Flight; Kim McCarthy’s Nineteen, and Leanne Ringelstein’s Interplay, and Gareth Belling’s Refraction. Noelene also designed the sets for The Amazing Magician goes Troppo and for Timothy Brown’s Thread, and both sets and costumes for Natalie Weir’s Wuthering Heights, Petrushka and Orpheus. Noelene has worked with various companies as Set and Costume Designer (notably having a long association with La Boite Theatre), Wardrobe Coordinator, Costume Maker, Production Manager, and for QUT as a Theatrecraft tutor.
