At Queensland Ballet we have a culture of creativity, collaboration and intimacy that attracts leading artists, performers and arts professionals from around the world. People are drawn to our spirit of adventure and the beautiful lifestyle of Brisbane and Queensland.

We are proud to be the central hub for dance in Queensland. Made up of a diverse group of individuals, we are all committed to connecting people with dance, wherever they are.

Queensland Ballet is where people with a passion for ballet and the arts come together to celebrate our art-form. This passion is publicly expressed through the enthusiasm of our dancers when they perform on stage, but it also felt in the fun and friendship of our working environment wherever we come together as a team.

Dancers join our Company to cement their classical foundations and further develop their talent for an art-form that continues to have relevance to contemporary audiences of all ages. We offer an unconstrained, safe and supportive environment that allows imaginations to explore and experiment with developing new ways to delight and entertain audiences who have a growing appetite for dance.

We foster opportunities to continually learn and grow as artists and professionals, and to collaborate with like-minded individuals, organisations and companies in a way that rejuvenates our art-form and offers our audiences the excitement and pure joy that comes when they expect the unexpected.

Each year, we present a program that offers diversity in its artistic vibrancy, audience focus and geographic reach, making us a valued leader in the Australian performing arts community. Our 26 dancers are renowned for their technical excellence and versatility. For some, this has been nurtured and developed through our innovative Professional Year program and partnership with the Queensland Dance School of Excellence, platforms that provide a clear pathway for young people committed to a career in dance. We strive to engage as many people as possible with ballet through our community and educational programs.

Importantly, we are a financially successful company governed by a Board of advisers and led by expert arts professionals who uphold the highest levels of integrity and respect for Queensland Ballet and our various stakeholders.
