First time going to the ballet?

Is it your first time attending a ballet performance? We have some tips for you!

What should I wear?

There is no specific dress code for attending our performances. You can use it as an opportunity to wear a formal outfit or wear something more comfortable. It can be cold in the theatre so do bring a jacket in case you feel the chill from the air-conditioning.

When should I arrive?

Doors to the theatre open one hour before the show starts. Arriving in plenty of time means you can get a drink and some nibbles before the performance starts. It is also a good idea to read the complimentary program to find out more about the production before entering the theatre.

What if I'm running late?

If you arrive late you may have to wait until a suitable break in the performance to enter the theatre so as not to disturb the dancers and your fellow audience members.

What should I do during the show?

Relax, have fun and enjoy the performance! Our dancers love to hear you laugh and applaud as it lets them know you are enjoying the production.

Please remember to turn off all mobiles and electronic devices before the performance begins. Photography is not permitted inside the auditorium.
