Vis-a-vis Moving Stories
21 April 2010
How does a choreographer translate words into movement? In this special Vis-à-vis - Moving Stories presentation at the QPAC Playhouse, François Klaus takes an in-depth look at ballets which are based on existing works of literature. As a choreographer, François has found inspiration in the plays of Shakespeare (such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream or Othello), dramatic poems (Peer Gynt), and twentieth century classics (A Streetcar Named Desire). With additional input from the Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble, François will give you a unique insight into the creative process of communicating a story through dance.
