Summer School —
Launching in 2014, Queensland Ballet Summer School is an exciting new program for dance communities across Australia and abroad.
The six-day intensive training program will be held from 13 - 18 January Queensland Ballet's home, Thomas Dixon Centre in Brisbane’s West End.
The program aims to further young dancers’ training and improve essential skills required to advance to a higher level of excellence. Students will have the opportunity to work with other talented dance students, under the guidance of Queensland Ballet’s Artistic staff and guest teachers.
Applicants must be aged between 11 and 18 years.
Classes include: classical ballet technique, pointe work, male technique, pas de deux, repertoire, character dance and contemporary dance.
A presentation for family and friends will be held at the end of Summer School.
