Our Repertoire Workshops provide your students with the opportunity to engage with some of the repertoire from the Company’s current season. Repertoire is adapted to suit school students.
A Repertoire Workshop begins with students’ learning a phrase of movement from the ballet. Following their rehearsal and discussion of the work, students then undertake a choreographic exercise to manipulate and build upon the adapted repertoire. Repertoire Workshops seek to connect the professional choreography with the dance components in the Queensland curriculum.
In 2015, Queensland Ballet will offer Repertoire Workshops to accompany and enhance your students engagement with the following performances:
- Peter Shaufuss’ La Sylphide
- Greg Horsman’s The Sleeping Beauty
- Greg Horsman's Coppélia
