Outreach
Community education about dance – both the art form and the artists – is central to Queensland Ballet’s operations. Dance education is carried out through two different programs - regular studio performances with a strong element of information (the Vis-à-vis Studio Series), and Dance+, incorporating an Open Doors program which enables the community to observe the Company working, and a program of workshops conducted throughout Queensland, and in schools and dance studios in the greater Brisbane area.
Open Doors
Queensland Ballet opens its doors during several times each year so that the public can observe the Company's daily class, explore the Wardrobe Department, and learn something about the Company and its history.
Over 200 people attended our two Open Doors programs last year.
In 2010, three Open Doors sessions will be held as follows:
Thursday, March 11 and Friday, March 12 and
Tuesday, May 25
from 10.00am - 11.30am.
The cost is $12.00 per person ($5.00 for children under six years old).
Places are limited - to book phone 3013 6666 or email us.
