Auditions

Auditions for 2011 will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2010

Auditions for Queensland Ballet are held in September/October each year at the Company's studios in the Thomas Dixon Centre, corner Drake Street and Montague Road, West End, Brisbane. Candidates for admission to the Professional Year are auditioned at the same time. Candidates for both the Company and the Professional Year are required to complete and submit the registration form prior to the audition. This form is also available on request from the Company by phoning (07) 3013 6666, or email.  Registations for 2011 close on September 9, 2010.

• Candidates should wear clothing which is suitable for class and women should bring pointe shoes.
• Brief interviews may be conducted with some applicants after the class

Those who are auditioning should bring a copy of an up-to-date CV with them and submit it at the Registration Desk. The audition fee is payable on the day. Public transport is available to the venue via bus, City Cat river ferry, or taxi. Travel from Brisbane airport to the city is available by train, coach, or taxi. Details are available on arrival at Brisbane airport.

IMPORTANT: Due to immigration restrictions, it is difficult for the Company to engage any dancer who is not an Australian citizen or permanent resident. Anyone in this category who is interested in auditioning for or performing with the Company should first send a CV and video of their work.
