World's Largest Ballet Class 2011
Bright and early on Sunday 22 May 2011, over 1,500 ballet fans joined us at the State Library of Queensland to help us break the Guinness Record for the World's Largest Ballet Class. 1,525 ballet lovers completed a 30 minute barre class, led by our wonderful Artistic Assistant Nicole Galea. A sea of tutus and other delightful costumes spread over five levels of the State Library atrium was a sight to behold. The event was part of the 2011 Ideas Festival, and the Ideas team were instrumental in making this special day happen. A big thanks also to all our volunteers and supporters – we couldn't have done it without you!
