Lina Kim

Trainee Dancer


Korean born Lina Kim started dance lessons at the age of 4 with Professor Lim, before moving to Australia where she attended the Janice Heale School of Dance. She became a student of The Queensland Dance School of Excellence in 2006, receiving the Queensland Ballet scholarship and several other awards during this time. Lina was taken into Queensland Ballet’s Professional Year in 2008 and in that year appeared in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, 2008 International Gala, The Little Mermaid, …with attitude, and Swan Lake, as well as the Queensland regional tour of The Amazing Magician. In her second year, Lina performed in the Brisbane and regional Queensland performances of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the 2009 International Gala, The Sleeping Beauty, and Step Forward!, the program devised to showcase the 2009 Professional Year students. Lina was selected to perform as an extra in the Paris Opera Ballet’s production of La Bayadère in 2009, and was taken into Queensland Ballet as a Trainee dancer in January, 2010.
