Tamara began her dance training at the Dianne McLellan Dance Academy. She then trained at the Anne Fraser School of Dance for six years before being accepted into Queensland Ballet’s Professional Year program in 2006. Whilst a student in the Professional Year program she was awarded both the Patricia MacDonald Scholarship and the George Hartnett Funerals Award. She became a Trainee Dancer with the Company in 2008 and a full Company member in January 2009.
Since her association with the Company, Tamara has appeared in many productions, including François Klaus’s Romeo & Juliet, Carmen, The LIttle Mermaid, The Nutcracker, A Streetcar Named Desire and A Midsummer Night's Dream. In 2009, she danced the role of Violente, one of the fairies in The Sleeping Beauty. She has performed in International Galas 2006 - 2009, and …with attitude 2007 - 2009.
In 2008, Tamara toured with the Company to Japan with The Little Mermaid and in 2009 to Europe with Timeless Dances.
