Kathleen commenced her training at the the Karen Jacobi Dance and Performing Arts Academy in Queensland. She was an inaugural member of the Queensland Ballet Junior Extension Program, and later attended the Queensland Dance School of Excellence. Kathleen was accepted into Queensland Ballet’s Professional Year in 2005, and was offered Trainee position in 2007, becoming a full Company member in 2008.
Queensland Ballet productions that Kathleen has performed in include François Klaus’s A Thousand and One Nights, The Little Mermaid, Alice in Wonderland, The Nutcracker, Romeo & Juliet, Cloudland, Carmen, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Swan Lake, A Streetcar Named Desire, and in International Gala 2005 - 2009.
In 2008, François Klaus created the role of the Sun Goddess on Kathleen for his piece, Timeless Dances in …with attitude 2008. Kathleen performed a pas de deux in Nils Christe’s piece Purcell Pieces in International Gala 2008 and was a part of the creation of Timothy Brown’s Double Edge in Soirées Classiques 1. In 2009, she performed in Mario Schroeder's Erdbeermund (International Gala 2009), and Nils Christe's SYNC (...with attitude 2009).
Kathleen has toured internationally with Queensland Ballet, performing in Germany and Switzerland in 2007, Japan in 2008, and Denmark, Switzerland and Germany in 2009 with Timeless Dances.
