Todd has a background in gymnastics, and was a member of the Gymnastics Queensland State Squad and the Australian Gymnastics Team (Under 17s). He has undertaken dance training at the Queensland Dance School of Excellence and The Australian Ballet School. He performed in The Australian Ballet’s Dancers Company Tour of The Nutcracker in 2004 and at Tokyo Disneyland in 2005. Todd was accepted into Queensland Ballet's Professional Year in 2006 and became a trainee dancer with the Company in 2007. In 2008, he became a full Company member.
Since he has been associated with the Company, Todd has performed in many productions, including International Galas 2006- 2009, François Klaus’s Romeo & Juliet, Carmen, The Nutcracker, A Streetcar Named Desire, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Little Mermaid, Swan Lake and The Sleeping Beauty. He performed a featured role in the ‘Spirituality’ segment of Klaus’s Beyond the Barre in ...with attitude 2007, also dancing in ...with attitude 2008 and 2009.
Todd featured in Timothy Brown's Double Edge in Soirees Classiques 1 (2008) and Csaba Buday's Partnered in Vis-a-vis Studio Series #3 (2008), and was the solo dancer in Louise Deleur's Future in Vis-a-vis Studio Series #2 (2009). In 2009, he also performed in Deleur's Morning Star in Vis-a-vis #3 and Soirees Classiques #2, and in Gareth Belling's Refraction in ...with attitude 2009.
Todd toured with the Company on its return visit to Germany and Switzerland in October 2007 and to Japan in April 2008, and again to Germany and Switzerland as well as Denmark in 2009.
