Tamara Zurvas

Company Dancer


Tamara began her dance training at the Rockhampton Academy of Dance and went on to attend the Queensland Dance School of Excellence. She was accepted into Queensland Ballet’s Professional Year in 2005 and became a trainee dancer with the Company in 2006. In 2008, she accepted a contract as a full-time member of the Company.

Since she has been associated with the Company, Tamara has performed in a number of productions, including François Klaus’s A Thousand and One Nights, Romeo & Juliet, Carmen, International Galas 2005 - 2009, …with attitude 2007 - 2009, The Nutcracker, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Little Mermaid,Swan Lake (Leading Swan), and A Streetcar Named Desire. In 2009, she also danced the role of one of the fairies "Candide" in The Sleeping Beauty.

In 2007, Tamara toured with the Company on its return visit to Germany and Switzerland and then to Japan in April 2008 with The Little Mermaid. In 2009, she participated in the 2009 tour to Europe with Timeless Dances.
