Cinderella will go to the ball next year
Queensland Ballet announced it will tour Cinderella to regional Queensland in 2014.
Following a sell-out season of Ben Stevenson’s Cinderella, Queensland Ballet was delighted to announce it will be touring Cinderella to eight regional Queensland venues in 2014 – Toowoomba, Gold Coast, Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Gladstone, Rockhampton and Maryborough.
Li comments: “We are overjoyed with the success of our first season of Cinderella. Due to popular demand we added two extra performances to the season, and the extended season completely sold out before we opened.
“The positive response from audiences has been overwhelming, and we’re very excited to announce that we will be sharing Cinderella with regional audiences in 2014.”
The 2014 regional tour of Cinderella has been made possible thanks to support from the Queensland Government’s Playing Fund – Boost to Touring.
Arts Minister Ian Walker said he was delighted to see the Queensland Ballet playing a key role in the Queensland Government's commitment to increasing touring to the State's regions. "This tour of Cinderella shows how we are making the arts accessible to all Queenslanders, and Queensland Ballet's regional tour of Cinderella is a great example of the fund in action."
