Company Dancer

Lina was born in Korea. She started dance lessons at the age of four with Professor Lim, before moving to Australia where she attended the Janice Heale School of Dance.

Lina joined the Queensland Dance School of Excellence in 2006 and received the Queensland Ballet scholarship and several other awards. She was offered a place in Queensland Ballet’s Professional Year Program where she performed in many Queensland Ballet productions.

Lina joined Queensland Ballet as a Trainee Dancer in 2010. Lina was promoted to Company Dancer in 2011.

Did you know?

  • Lina enjoys making dancewear for herself and her fellow dancers. By the end of the year Lina hopes to launch her own dancewear brand.
  • Lina was chosen to be an extra in Paris Opera Ballet’s La Bayadere in 2009. 
  • Lina loves to cook, she tries to find new and exciting recipes to try out on family and friends.
