Charles Riddiford —
Charles was born in Berwick, Victoria. He started ballet at the age of 12 at the Regional Academy of Performing Arts.
Charles Riddiford started ballet training at the age of twelve at the Regional Academy of Performing Arts in Wodonga, NSW. A semi-finalist in the McDonald's Sydney Eisteddfod in 2010, Charles was accepted into the New Zealand School of Dance's full-time program in 2011, and was awarded a scholarship to travel to New York and Canada in 2012. Charles joined the Royal Winnipeg Ballet Aspirant Program in 2013 and performed in many productions with that Company, including The Sleeping Beauty, Rudi van Dantzig’s Romeo and Juliet, Lila York’s The Handmaid’s Tale and Galina Yordanova and Nina Menon’s The Nutcracker.
Charles joined Queensland Ballet’s Jette Parker Young Artist Program in March 2014 and will complete his 12-month program in the first half of 2015.
