A not-for-profit company, limited by guarantee, Queensland Ballet has an elected Board of nine Directors headed by a Chairperson. The Artistic Director and General Manager both report directly to the Board of Directors.

Members of The Queensland Ballet Company are entitled to stand for election to the Board and to vote at general meetings of the Company. People can become members in one of two ways: subscribing and opting for membership at no additional charge, or by paying an annual membership fee (currently $55).
