As a Director-Choreographer, putting together a program each year brings the same challenge: how to stimulate, inspire and satisfy both artists and audiences. We want to create new works, encourage emerging choreographers, engage guest choreographers, tour, stage some of the classics, show refined contemporary dance, give our audience an insight into our art form, and engage with children - the dance-lovers of the future. But from all these activities, in any given year we have to make choices. I hope you find my choice this year interesting and thoughtful. François Klaus, Artistic Director
